2024 Baylor Traditions Ornaments

The Baylor Traditions Ornament is a way for the Baylor Family to showcase their Baylor spirit through the wonder and joy of Christmas. The 2024 Traditions Ornament program has come to a close, and a new ornament will be available next Christmas along with the University seal offering. Thank you to all who participated in this Baylor tradition.

Robbins Chapel Cross Ornament

The 2024 Baylor Traditions Ornament features an ornate design surrounding the Robbins Chapel cross. The cross is a recognizable feature of the Baylor skyline and draws people to The Robbins Chapel in Brooks College as a place for solitude, meditation, peace, and for singing the praises of the Lord. The many sacred spaces on campus, including residential chapels, sustain the Baylor tradition of valuing all aspects of student development, including spiritual formation.

Baylor Seal Ornament – Pro Ecclesia, Pro Texana, Pro Mundo

Chartered in 1845 by the Republic of Texas, Baylor is the state's oldest, continuously operating institution of higher learning. Established to be a servant of the church and of society, Baylor seeks to fulfill its calling through excellence in teaching and research, in scholarship and publication, and in service to the community, both local and global. In Spring 2024, the University’s Board of Regents approved expanding Baylor’s longstanding motto by adding Pro Mundo (For the World) to Pro Ecclesia, Pro Texana (For Church, For Texas). The Baylor University motto – unchanged since 1851 – is inscribed on the official Baylor seal, its iconic class rings and the medallion worn by the President during commencement exercises and is a celebrated declaration of who we are today and who we will be in the future.
